The CONTI-AIR Award

For the fifth time, the Hamburg-based trade magazine Druck&Medien recognized German print and media companies for their outstanding achievements. More than 470 representatives from the industry attended the anniversary gala in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin. The Druck&Medien awards, which were first presented five years ago, have developed into a key event in the market and are considered to be the highest distinction in the industry.

At the glamorous gala emceed by Barbara Schöneberger, people, teams and companies were honored in 26 categories. Wolfgang Grupp, owner of the Trigema textile company, shared remarks honoring the winners. 

The winner of this year’s CONTI-AIR award Magazine Printer of the Year (sheet fed) is the Druckpartner Druck- und Medienhaus GmbH, Essen.

Druckpartner quotes Oscar Wilde "The average gives the world its durability. The unusual its value", thus finding a suitable aphorism. The 120 ambitious employees of the owner-managed company are committed to satisfying the high demands of industry and advertising customers. Druckpartner rakes in numerous awards, year after year. The qualities of the management are cited again and again.

The magazines and brochures are of an unsurpassed quality, meeting top demands. Up to 6/6 colors are printed, including various silver hues and special colors. The Essen-based printer prefers to use three different kinds of paper for one magazine, for instance multi-color transparent paper fully imprinted with special ink. Other finishing technologies, which at the same time create a third level, include relief/silkscreen, flock printing and blind embossing with a crocodile pattern. The jurors could barely stop feeling the pages, some silky-velvety, some nubbed, smooth or matt. Original quote: “Very high-quality products!”
